AS SEEN IN

Trained at Design Academy Eindhoven, Maya and Fabian shape expressive objects where painting, drawing, and hand-building merge. What began during the 2020 lockdown as an exploration of airdry clay and resin evolved into a distinct craft language defined by bold colour, fluid lines, and sculptural presence. Their work balances function and artistic freedom, transforming everyday pieces into vibrant spatial statements.
DRAWING WITH LIGHT
Each floor lamp is built by hand, allowing the elongated stem and branching arms to emerge through an intuitive, gesture-led process. The silhouette feels animated, transforming lighting into a vertical sculptural drawing within the room.
Hand-painted stripes follow every contour with precision, reinforcing depth and contrast between red and light blue. The integrated toggle switch is discreetly positioned, maintaining visual continuity while ensuring ease of use.
INNOVATIVE MATERIAL COMPOSITION
The structure combines flexible PEX tubing with carefully modelled airdry clay, creating stability within its flowing form. Acrylic paint is layered by hand, achieving crisp lines and saturated colour across the curved surface.
A clear coat resin seals the lamp, intensifying colour vibrancy while providing a smooth, durable finish. This layered construction reflects an experimental approach rooted in adaptability and refined craftsmanship.
MADE TO ORDER
Distinct from mass production, each product at MAK MISHO is handmade only after your order is placed. This conscientious approach ensures quality, reduces waste, and underscores our dedication to ethical production. Furthermore, every piece is uniquely crafted just for you, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike, providing you, the customer, with a truly personal touch from the artisan.
