Inspired by the intimacy and versatility of porcelain, Annie Marciniszyn, the artist behind Nodi Studio discovered a passion for this material during her design studies. Porcelain’s unpredictability and tactile nature continue to captivate her, making each creation a true labor of love.
HAND-SHAPED BALANCE
Every contour of the Baloo Bookcase reflects Ania’s intuitive design language - fluid, grounded, and imbued with motion. No detail is overlooked; the offset shelving and rounded supports are choreographed for visual interest from every angle.
This is a piece born from touch, sketched, shaped, and painted by hand. The harmonious layering of forms is not only functional but emotionally resonant, offering users a tactile connection to the design's narrative.
RICH, REFINED WOOD
Baloo is crafted entirely from wood, lending it natural warmth beneath its contemporary silhouette. The structure is sturdy, built to host books, decor, and personal artifacts while maintaining visual lightness.
Finished in soft black with a semi-matte lacquer, the surface reflects light gently, never harsh, always understated. This tactile coating enhances the curvature and depth of the piece, elevating its sculptural presence.
