AS SEEN IN

Trained at Design Academy Eindhoven, Maya and Fabian shape expressive objects where painting, drawing, and hand-building merge. What began during the 2020 lockdown as an exploration of airdry clay and resin evolved into a distinct craft language defined by bold colour, fluid lines, and sculptural presence. Their work balances function and artistic freedom, transforming everyday pieces into vibrant spatial statements.
A SCULPTURAL LINE ON THE WALL
Each wall lamp is shaped by hand, allowing its flowing curve to emerge through an intuitive, gesture-led process. The elongated arm resembles a drawn line extending outward, giving the lamp a playful and animated presence.
Stripes are meticulously hand-painted to follow every contour, reinforcing the vibrant contrast between light blue and red while accentuating the lamp’s movement and depth.
EXPERIMENTAL CERAMIC LANGUAGE
The structure combines flexible PEX tubing with hand-shaped airdry clay, providing stability while maintaining the lamp’s expressive curvature. Acrylic paint is layered carefully to achieve crisp lines and rich colour definition.
A clear coat resin seals and protects the surface, intensifying colour depth while creating a smooth and durable finish. This layered construction reflects an innovative approach rooted in experimentation and refined craftsmanship.
MADE TO ORDER
Distinct from mass production, each product at MAK MISHO is handmade only after your order is placed. This conscientious approach ensures quality, reduces waste, and underscores our dedication to ethical production. Furthermore, every piece is uniquely crafted just for you, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike, providing you, the customer, with a truly personal touch from the artisan.
