AS SEEN IN

Trained at Design Academy Eindhoven, Maya and Fabian shape expressive objects where painting, drawing, and hand-building merge. What began during the 2020 lockdown as an exploration of airdry clay and resin evolved into a distinct craft language defined by bold colour, fluid lines, and sculptural presence. Their work balances function and artistic freedom, transforming everyday pieces into vibrant spatial statements.
A SUSPENDED DOODLE IN SPACE
Each pendant is carefully hand-built, allowing its generous silhouette to emerge through an intuitive, gesture-led process. The wide shade enhances the dialogue between proportion and pattern, turning the lamp into a suspended three-dimensional drawing.
Stripes are meticulously hand-painted to follow the curvature of the surface, intensifying the contrast between orange red and pink while accentuating volume and flow. The result is a dynamic yet balanced composition that shifts beautifully with changing light.
EXPERIMENTAL CERAMIC APPROACH
The structure combines PEX tubing with hand-shaped airdry clay, creating stability within its expressive form. Layers of acrylic paint are applied with precision, achieving crisp definition and rich colour saturation across the sculpted surface.
A clear coat resin seals the pendant, enhancing colour depth while providing a smooth and durable finish. This layered construction reflects an innovative material language rooted in experimentation and refined craftsmanship.
