AS SEEN IN

Trained at Design Academy Eindhoven, Maya and Fabian shape expressive objects where painting, drawing, and hand-building merge. What began during the 2020 lockdown as an exploration of airdry clay and resin evolved into a distinct craft language defined by bold colour, fluid lines, and sculptural presence. Their work balances function and artistic freedom, transforming everyday pieces into vibrant spatial statements.
A COMPACT SCULPTURAL STATEMENT
Each pendant is carefully hand-built, allowing its compact form to emerge through an intuitive, gesture-led process. The smaller scale enhances its proportions, creating a balanced interplay between surface pattern and silhouette.
Stripes are meticulously hand-painted to follow the curvature of the shade, reinforcing contrast between brown and cream while accentuating volume and depth. The result is a refined yet expressive lighting piece.
EXPERIMENTAL CERAMIC LANGUAGE
The structure combines PEX tubing with hand-shaped airdry clay, providing stability within its sculpted form. Acrylic paint is layered with precision, achieving crisp definition and tonal richness across the surface.
A clear coat resin seals and protects the pendant, intensifying colour depth while delivering a smooth, durable finish. This layered construction reflects an innovative material approach rooted in experimentation and craftsmanship.
MADE TO ORDER
Distinct from mass production, each product at MAK MISHO is handmade only after your order is placed. This conscientious approach ensures quality, reduces waste, and underscores our dedication to ethical production. Furthermore, every piece is uniquely crafted just for you, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike, providing you, the customer, with a truly personal touch from the artisan.
