AS SEEN IN

Trained at Design Academy Eindhoven, Maya and Fabian shape expressive objects where painting, drawing, and hand-building merge. What began during the 2020 lockdown as an exploration of airdry clay and resin evolved into a distinct craft language defined by bold colour, fluid lines, and sculptural presence. Their work balances function and artistic freedom, transforming everyday pieces into vibrant spatial statements.
A SUSPENDED SCULPTURE
Each pendant is hand-built, allowing its expansive form to emerge through an intuitive, gesture-led process. The wide shade enhances the dialogue between proportion and pattern, transforming the lamp into a suspended three-dimensional drawing.
Stripes are meticulously hand-painted to follow the curvature of the surface, reinforcing contrast between red and light blue while accentuating volume and depth. Every line strengthens the lamp’s dynamic yet balanced composition.
EXPERIMENTAL CERAMIC TECHNIQUE
The structure combines PEX tubing with carefully shaped airdry clay, providing stability within its expressive form. Acrylic paint is layered by hand to achieve crisp lines and saturated colour across the sculpted surface.
A clear coat resin seals the pendant, intensifying colour vibrancy while delivering a smooth, durable finish. This layered construction reflects an innovative material approach rooted in experimentation and refined craftsmanship.
MADE TO ORDER
Distinct from mass production, each product at MAK MISHO is handmade only after your order is placed. This conscientious approach ensures quality, reduces waste, and underscores our dedication to ethical production. Furthermore, every piece is uniquely crafted just for you, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike, providing you, the customer, with a truly personal touch from the artisan.
