AS SEEN IN

Trained at Design Academy Eindhoven, Maya and Fabian shape expressive objects where painting, drawing, and hand-building merge. What began during the 2020 lockdown as an exploration of airdry clay and resin evolved into a distinct craft language defined by bold colour, fluid lines, and sculptural presence. Their work balances function and artistic freedom, transforming everyday pieces into vibrant spatial statements.
A GRAPHIC SILHOUETTE IN SPACE
Each pendant is hand-built, allowing its wide, flowing form to emerge through an intuitive and gesture-led process. The generous scale enhances the interplay between proportion and pattern, turning the lamp into a suspended sculptural drawing.
Stripes are meticulously hand-painted to follow the curvature of the shade, reinforcing contrast and depth between brown and cream. Every line accentuates the lamp’s volume, highlighting its dynamic yet balanced composition.
EXPERIMENTAL CERAMIC TECHNIQUE
The structure combines PEX tubing with carefully shaped airdry clay, creating stability within its expressive form. Acrylic paint is layered by hand, achieving crisp definition and rich tonal contrast across the surface.
A clear coat resin seals the pendant, intensifying colour depth while providing a smooth and durable finish. This layered construction reflects an innovative material approach rooted in experimentation and refined craftsmanship.
MADE TO ORDER
Distinct from mass production, each product at MAK MISHO is handmade only after your order is placed. This conscientious approach ensures quality, reduces waste, and underscores our dedication to ethical production. Furthermore, every piece is uniquely crafted just for you, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike, providing you, the customer, with a truly personal touch from the artisan.
