About

THE STUDIO

MAK Studio is an architectural and interior studio based in Copenhagen, founded by Alexander Rantzau Hunderup. Built as an extension of MAK MISHO, the studio creates considered spaces for private homes, shops, offices and commercial interiors, with a focus on atmosphere, function, materiality and carefully selected design.

Our work is guided by the belief that every space should reflect the people, brand or purpose it is created for. Rather than following one fixed style, we shape interiors around the client, combining spatial understanding, furniture curation, visual direction and FF&E sourcing to create environments that feel personal, functional and visually distinct.

Through MAK MISHO, we bring access to a curated network of independent designers, artisans, makers and suppliers. This allows us to work with handmade furniture, collectible objects, custom pieces and materials that give each project character, quality and a clear sense of identity.

MAK Studio works across residential and commercial spaces, from intimate homes to retail environments, offices, showrooms and creative spaces. Each project is approached with attention to detail, openness and a commitment to creating interiors that are not only beautiful, but also meaningful, practical and made to be experienced.

Founder & Interior Architect

ALEXANDER RANTZAU HUNDERUP

Alexander Rantzau Hunderup is the founder and creative director of MAK Studio and MAK MISHO. Based in Copenhagen, his work brings together interior direction, furniture design, spatial curation and visual storytelling, with a strong understanding of how spaces can shape the way people live, work and experience their surroundings.

With experience in furniture design for MAK MISHO and other Danish brands, Alexander approaches interiors with a close understanding of form, materiality, function and craftsmanship. His work is guided by the belief that a space should feel personal and considered, while still being functional, intuitive and tailored to the people who use it.

Through MAK Studio, Alexander works across private homes, shops, offices and commercial interiors, combining spatial understanding with access to MAK MISHO’s network of independent designers, artisans and FF&E suppliers. Rather than following a fixed style, his approach focuses on creating spaces with identity, warmth and a clear visual direction.
