Obscure Objects is the Berlin-based design studio founded by Luisa Pöpsel and Moritz Pitrowski. United by a shared fascination for bold forms and material exploration, the duo creates collectible pieces that merge sculptural expression with tactile depth. Their work challenges convention, blending intuitive design with a distinctly architectural sensibility.
HONESTLY ENGINEERED
Each Chunk Stool is handcrafted in Germany, shaped by a process that honors both precision and presence. The proportions are calculated for visual impact while maintaining everyday function. The result is a piece that feels designed and discovered in equal parts.
Details like the subtly curved junctions and polished welds expose the human hand behind the steel. This is not fabrication for perfection’s sake - it is intentional irregularity, turned into identity.
STAINLESS SCULPTURE
Made entirely from brushed stainless steel, the stool conveys permanence and clean strength. The hand-finished surface enhances the form’s weight and depth, catching and reflecting light with gentle variation.
What begins as industrial material is transformed through scale and finish into something tactile and expressive. The contrast between its cold resilience and fluid shape is central to its visual character.
MADE TO ORDER
Distinct from mass production, each product at MAK MISHO is handmade only after your order is placed. This conscientious approach ensures quality, reduces waste, and underscores our dedication to ethical production. Furthermore, every piece is uniquely crafted just for you, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike, providing you, the customer, with a truly personal touch from the artisan.
